Cyrus Massoumi is an entrepreneur who has focused his professional energies on making healthcare more accessible.

Today, over 90 million Americans have no health insurance or can’t afford the insurance they have. Looking to change the status-quo, Cyrus strives towards innovation in healthcare, creating an America where everyone can receive adequate care.

In 2007, Cyrus founded ZocDoc, a platform that allows people to easily search for doctors who accept their insurance and book them instantly online. When he left Zocdoc in 2015, he had one major regret for what he was able to accomplish: those without healthcare coverage weren’t able to easily access services.

He decided that with his next healthcare company, he would address not just efficiency access, but also equity access. In 2022, Cyrus's new company, Dr. B, launched the first and only telehealth service in the US to treat patients regardless of their ability to pay. Cyrus believes it is possible to create an America where everyone, independent of finances, can receive adequate care.

“Any business that operates in healthcare should in some way figure out how they’re trying to help everybody. It’s almost a moral obligation.”
